Dear whom it may concern,
I am concerned about my safety and wellbeing during this corona virus. I am not 6 feet from my celly during lock downs. The CO’s can bring it in anytime. I am worried about my family. I just lost one of my own during this time. I would like to go home and help them. I am more useful on the street than in here. My family is important to me. The virus really did a number on this facility. They say stay 6 feet from everyone but we are stuck in the pod all day. That’s not 6 feet from anyone. The virus already hit a couple compounds. Keeps me up at night knowing that it can hit this compound at any time.
I really needed to let my concerns be heard during this time. I just want to feel safe. The only thing that the facilities did was to give us masks to wear. We are just wearing masks. The CO’s are not staying 6 feet from anyone. That’s what bothers me also. They sometimes don’t wear their mask when they do that. I’m trying not to get the virus. I’m trying not to die obviously.
I know of a couple people that I live with are concerned about their well being. This virus is a major deal to them. They want to be home with their families and help them through this time. They also see the stuff on the news. When we saw what happened at Deerfield and another facility it really made us more concerned about what’s going on.
I haven’t seen my family in a while. It hurts knowing there’s no visitation. A lot of people at State Farm where I live are not working. Only a select few are working. Usually 90% are working. Now it’s like 10%. How can we get through this if only a few people can be the rest can not?
